SUE BLUE

ROSALIN BLUE PERFORMS HER ALBUM OF SONIC POETRY: LIKE DAY & LIKE NIGHT

Rosalin Blue (aka Sue Blue) first hit the stage in Germany in 1995. In Cork since 2000, she has performed in various venues in Cork city, Cork County and festivals across Ireland. Her work has been widely published in journals including Revival, Crannóg, A New Ulster and Solstice Sounds. She is the facilitator of The Blue Mondays Writers Group and leads a poetry translation project between twin cities Cork and Cologne, launching in 2026.

In 2023, Blue fulfilled her dream of releasing her first album of spoken word put to music, LIKE DAY & LIKE NIGHT.  Subtitled “Sonic Poetry”, the album comprises 10 tracks each of a different genre with varied subject matter. In collaboration with Rik Appleby of Lionheart Productions, West Cork, the atmosphere and heartbeat of each poem is encapsulated in a soundscape and enlivened within the music. They are contemplative pieces  that seek to move the spirit and envelop the physical.
